Poppies in Hanbury Street was our founder, Pop’s, first restaurant and the one where the journey began. The retro-diner and takeaway is close to Pop’s heart as it brought 70 year old Pat out of retirement. It fulfilled his lifelong dream of opening a traditional East End chippie and a desire to offer customers a taste of the old East End.
