Amy Winehouse Celebration

In September, we had the privilege of enjoying a very special live ‘Fish & Gigs’ performance by Laura Jane Butler, a dedicated tribute act to the legendary Amy Winehouse, on what would have been Amy’s 40th birthday. Camden has a unique connection to Amy Winehouse who lived there, performed there regularly and left an undeniable mark on the area’s music scene. The acclaimed British singer and songwriter, known for her soulful voice and her blend of jazz, soul and R&B, was celebrated in an evening of joy and nostalgia. With Amy’s family in the front row, Laura Jane Butler delivered a heartfelt performance that resulted in a night of singing and dancing in honour of the wonderful ‘Camden Queen.’ Fish & Gigs nights happen on the first Friday of each month in Poppies Camden from 7,30pm. Book a table and enjoy delicious fish and chips with an incredible live backing track.
