Today (15th August 2025) marks the 80th Anniversary of Victory over Japan Day (VJ Day) – the official end of the Second World War – and we urge everyone to take a moment today to reflect and remember all those that fought and gave their lives.
We are also proud to announce the success of our fundraising initiative from earlier this year as we sought to support veterans across the country. We are delighted to have raised a meaningful £3,000 for The Not Forgotten, a charity that helps provide vital support to veterans and service personnel around the UK living with injury, illness or isolation. The money raised was from sales of our takeaway favourite ‘Fish Bites & Chips’ throughout the month of May alongside customer donations across all four of our London restaurants.
The money has gone directly to this wonderful charity helping to support their year-round programme of social events, respite and challenge opportunities. With an estimated 2.4 million veterans living in the UK, this programme ranging from music events to social lunches and outings, helps to build confidence and foster camaraderie amongst veterans.
